The Guyer Colorguard program is a highly competitive and talented group of students who utilize elements of dance, equipment, and musicianship to enhance the visual portion of the Band Program. In the Fall, students perform and compete with the Marching Band, and compete as an independent performing group in the Winter and Spring (Winterguard).

In the last few years, the Guyer Winterguard has established itself as a Championship Program on a local and national stage. Most recently, the Winterguard traveled to the Winterguard International (WGI) Championships in Dayton, Ohio and placed 20th in the nation in the Scholastic A Division. The group was named the 2014 North Texas Colorguard Association (NTCA) Scholastic A Champions and the 2015 Silver Medalist.

Members are actively involved in learning dance and choreography, as well as highly trained in spinning various pieces of equipment including flags, rifles, and sabres. Membership is open to any currently enrolled Guyer student, and no prior experience with dance or band is necessary.
